The Little Drops collectible statues series help your children, grandchildren or godchildren to learn about Jesus, Mary and the Saints.
Joan of Arc was born in Domremy, France, in 1412. She was raised according to the catholic faith and affirmed to hear the voices of Archangel Michael, Saint Catherine and Saint Margaret, who ordered her to seek prince Charles VII, to release the city of Orléans that was dominated by the English troops, and to lead Charles VII to be crowned king of France. Joan of Arc accomplished all divine orders.
Joan of Arc won many battles, but in 1430 she was arrested by the Burgundians, who were English allies, and was condemned to death by the Holy Inquisition in 1431, accused of being a heretic and a witch.
She was beatified in 1909 by Pope Pius X, and canonised in 1920 by Pope Benedict XV. Joan of Arc is the patron saint of France and her feast day is 30 May.
